This piece is ideal for:

→ a lady or young woman

Introduction

A perfect bouquet of flowers changes its colors, petals, and never wilts. However, such flowers do not exist in our reality.

For it is an ideal gift for any woman, it is a symbol of love, a declaration of affection, a tribute to the feminine spirit in every lady or young woman.

This piece by Daniel Bulimar Henciu is a reinterpretation of the flower vases often painted in Still Life. However, the present work actually achieves the opposite, “Living Nature”.

As the abstract contours, fragmented through cubism, create a dynamic and moving effect, the pastel colors provide freshness, and the undefined forms never bore the viewer’s eyes, as they invite them to contribute with imagination, to discover what flowers make up the bouquet, and in this way, the “Flower Vase” maintains its freshness through its playful inconstancy.

The pastel tones of the background perfectly match a sophisticated decor that needs a chromatic complement to positively enliven the room. And the oversized dimensions of the piece ensure that its impact can be significant, as it occupies and dominates an entire wall.

The painting is ideal as a gift for a close lady or young woman, being a perfect gift of love, whether for mother, partner, wife, daughter, etc.

Interpretation of Symbols

Symbols:

  • The vase and flower bouquet:
    • Symbolizes the variety and abundance of life, with a vast range of colors suggesting emotional and cultural diversity.
    • The vase, though modern and discreet, appears to be a symbol of stability and subtle elegance, providing balance against the explosion of color and vitality in the bouquet.
    • Despite the chromatic variation, the color palette is restricted, suggesting control and a desire for display.
    • Oval contour of the flower bouquet, showing it is tall and magnificent; with flowers arranged on all sides, not just at the top.
    • A short and modern vase foot with a large base to support the weight; a symbol for a stable and discreet foundation.
  • Floral chromatics:
    • With shades of pink, violet, blue and yellow, the flowers evoke a sense of richness and refinement.
    • Each color contributes to the idea of luxury and creative vitality, transforming the bouquet into a symbol of exuberance.
  • The minimal presence of green:
    • Symbolizes the absence of leaves and suggests that the piece contains only rich colors formed from flowers; the work focuses on the essence of beauty without imperfections
  • The pastel background:
    • Suggests cleanliness and opulence. Additionally, it is a feminine chromatic that conveys warmth and closeness.

Evoked Feelings

The work conveys a strong feeling of joy and vitality, as if capturing the exuberant energy of a bouquet in full chromatic explosion.

There is a sense of creative animation and subtle opulence, inspiring luxury and abundance.

This explosion of color is meant to stimulate the spirit, produce well-being, and create an ambiance with positive energy.

Ideal Usage

This painting would suit a spacious living room or generous hallway of a luxury residence.

Additionally, it could bring refinement and energy to a private office, an elegant library, or a company meeting room.

Due to its visual impact and rich colors, it would shine in a reception area or waiting room, instantly elevating the aesthetic level of the space.

Color Significance:

  • Pink and purple: These colors evoke delicacy, sensitivity, and elegance, but also a sense of sophisticated femininity.
  • Violet and purple: The darker shades of violet and purple suggest luxury and mystery, inviting deeper contemplation of the composition.
  • Yellow and orange: These colors are full of energy and optimism, suggesting warmth and prosperity.
  • Electric blue and greys: The blue and greys bring a note of calm and balance in contrast with the rest of the composition, offering a subtle counterpoint in this symphony of colors.

The chromatic ensemble simultaneously conveys exuberance and refinement, creating a complex and contrast-filled visual experience.

Artistic Movement

The work falls within Abstract Expressionism, having influences from Synthetic Cubism and Abstract Impressionism.

The fragmentation and reconstruction of objects, specific to Synthetic Cubism, is evident in the treatment of flowers, while the gestural energy and free brushwork evoke the expressionist tradition, as the layering of colors and transparencies recall modern impressionist techniques.

Working Style

  • Technique: Gestural, Brushwork, Palette Knife; Calculated Strokes; Acrylic Layering without Secondary Effect of Covering Color Layers, Maintaining Overlapping Transparencies;
  • Materials: Acrylic on Canvas

Daniel Bulimar Henciu uses a gestural but calculated technique, where the fine knife and precise brushwork combine dynamism with control. The acrylic layers are applied in a stratified manner, preserving visible transparencies and textures, which adds depth and complexity. The materials used, acrylic on canvas, contribute to the intensity of colors and vibrant textures of the painting.

Composition

  • Subjects of the work: The flowers and vase represent the central elements, but are reinterpreted in an abstract manner, where their form is disjointed and reformed through color and texture.
  • Arrangement of elements: The composition is dynamic, and asymmetric, with a bouquet that seems to explode from the center of the painting, creating an impression of movement and vitality.
  • Balance: Though asymmetric, balance is maintained through intelligent distribution of colors and forms, creating a sense of visual stability in the midst of apparent chaos.
  • Proportion and scale: The painting’s dimensions are large, suggesting an imposing presence and demanding attention in a vast space.
  • Focal point: Eyes are drawn to the center of the composition, from where colors burst in all directions.
  • Color and contrast: The contrast between vivid colors and neutral tones provides a captivating visual effect, inviting the viewer to explore each detail.
  • Space and depth: The layers of colors and textures create a sensation of depth, as if the flowers were moving in space.
  • Rhythm and landmarks: The painting’s rhythm is alert, the composition having multiple points of interest that guide the eye in constant movement.

Associations and Inspirations

The work recalls Picasso and Braque in its use of synthetic cubism, but also abstract expressionists like Willem de Kooning, through the energy of brushwork and free gesturality.

Additionally, the influences of Kandinsky are visible in the use of colors as an emotional and symbolic language.

Conclusion

Finally, the mastery with which the work “Flower Vase” was created by artist Daniel Bulimar Henciu, capturing an eternal and chameleonic bouquet of flowers, evokes abundance, luxury, and beauty for anyone wishing to invite positive states wherever they place the work.

Because the painting is a symbol that invites contemplation, it creates an atmosphere of refinement and can encourage deep conversations, especially if placed in an area exposed to curious eyes, such as a spacious living room, personal office, or company headquarters.

The future owner of this piece will become a Cultural Patron who supports and promotes local values. It is a title worn by few people, but one that is highly appreciated in society.

This piece complements any refined space in which considerable investment has been made, being complementary to modern luxurious decors, which often impress through simplicity and minimalism but do not stimulate the senses.

In most decorations, walls remain the most neglected, despite being the focal points that can elevate a room and can impress any guest through a carefully chosen piece.

And this happens because the selected painting represents the owner and honors them in front of others.

Because paintings are among the few decorations that highlight the deep thoughts and emotions that an owner has and which, normally, must be made known through long conversations.

A well-chosen painting can do this in a few minutes.

And it can continue this task for a lifetime, even more so, when we remember that this precious good is passed on to descendants.

And with time, the value of such an object inevitably increases.

For it is a unique and inimitable piece that is only in the possession of a single person, its rightful owner.

Therefore, if you feel that the work “Flower Vase” is suitable for you or that it conveys to you and others the feelings with which you identify, do not hesitate to call us to reserve it.

Artistic Training

His beginnings in painting date back to 2005, when he was experimenting without a clear direction in art. Through a stroke of fate, he was inspired by the appreciation of an American artist to continue on this path. This unexpected encounter permanently opened his horizons towards painting, and since then his artistic exploration began.

Henciu consolidated his artistic knowledge at the Faculty of Arts and Design of the West University of Timișoara, where he completed both his undergraduate and master's degrees in painting.

He has gone through all existing styles, all major movements, and numerous artistic techniques until reaching the present moment, where he has developed and continues to develop his own techniques in his distinctive, unique style, specific to Daniel Bulimar Henciu.

As a determined self-taught artist, inspired by the great movements and masters of art, he expands his creative horizons. With an ever-present curiosity, he experiments and innovates, seeking to push the boundaries of what has already been discovered, thus bringing a personal touch and fresh breath with each created work.

Unique Style and Technique

Daniel Bulimar Henciu's paintings are a combination of Synthetic Cubism, Impressionism, and Expressionism. His refined technique includes gestural applications of acrylic paint on canvas, often carefully blended to mimic the intensity of oil colors. Avoiding common effects like dripping, he prefers to capture the subtleties of movement and create an intimate connection with the viewer through fingerprints, brushwork, and textural plays achieved through knife and markers. Additionally, Henciu develops his own methods and keeps some techniques secret, bringing an element of mystery and exclusivity to his art.

Themes and Artistic Message

His works are designed to transport the viewer into a world of dynamism and imagination. "All my paintings are in motion, none is static," states Henciu, wanting viewers to use their imagination and enter the universe of his paintings. Influenced by artists like Joan Miró, Gerhard Richter, and Adrian Ghenie, Henciu explores themes from abstract expressionism to conceptualism. With subtleties from Dadaism and innovations inspired by diverse styles, he creates a visual language through which art becomes an experience, not just a sight.

Vision and Representative Quotes

With a bold vision and boundless ambition, Daniel Bulimar Henciu views art as a divine gift. As he himself confesses: "Painting is like a divine gift, shaping forms, shadows, and lights, emanating life when you look at it." In a world where art is continuously evolving, Henciu aims to bring something unique with each work – a piece in motion that introduces viewers into a space of personal exploration and freedom of imagination.
