About the Artist
Iuliana Șteflea, a talented artist from Constanța, has exhibited her works in collaboration with Patty Art Gallery, participating in notable events in Italy, such as Vertigini e Vibrazioni del XXI Secolo (Melpignano, 2023), Sulle Orme di un Viaggio (Matera, 2023), and Le Espressioni dell'Anima (Torino, 2024). Her works have captured the attention of international collectors, and their value is steadily rising. Now more than ever, after the end of representative realism and the beginning of speculative realism.
Artistic Training
Despite her evident skill, it is incredible for anyone to learn that Iuliana draws exclusively from innate talent rather than rigorous formal training, which often dulls and stifles authentic expression. Her natural ability and passion have guided her in developing her own deeply emotional style. She began drawing in childhood, though with multiple periods of pause and artistic inconsistency, caused by confidence in her own ability to draw. In her words: "Although there were years-long breaks when I didn't draw, I always had this confidence that I could create any drawing I wanted."
During the pandemic, she truly rediscovered her calling for art, pursuing her desire to become an artist. Since 2020, Iuliana has seriously dedicated herself to artistic creation, building her own identity based on self-discipline and diligent work.
Style and Technique
Iuliana's style is a subtle blend of realism and hyperrealism, where precise details merge with elements of personal introspection. Her main techniques include sketching, hatching, and blending, with each work becoming a reflection of her deep emotions. This intuitive and refined approach transforms each piece into a chapter of her artistic "journal."
Themes Addressed
For Iuliana, art is a means of immortalizing intimate moments and instinctive emotions. Her works emanate a profound serenity, capturing quiet joys and moments of self-reflection. Each painting is a window into her inner self, an exercise in self-knowledge and self-acceptance. "My works are my journal in the journey of self-knowledge, self-love, and self-acceptance," states Iuliana.

Inspired by classical realism but intuitively guided, Iuliana manages to capture impressive details reminiscent of major artistic movements dedicated to truthfulness and expressiveness. However, her works are marked by a creative freedom that transcends the rigors of any particular style, transforming each work into a unique representation of her inner world.
Vision for the Future
Iuliana wishes to constantly evolve, to create works that touch viewers' souls and leave a positive mark in their hearts.
"I want my art to communicate more intensely, to be like a positive vibration in viewers' lives," confides the artist.
